Be assured, we take all necessary measures to protect your data by removing data from working devices before recycling and only recycling with certified institutions. Only our team will handle your phone, and we will personally deliver your device to the recycler.
what can you do to protect your data?
You can remove the data from your phone before recycling it. However, before removing your personal data, make sure to first follow these steps:
1. Make a back-up of all your data, including your contacts
2. Remove your sim card and any other memory cards
3. Log out of any online accounts, such as email, Facebook or your Google account
4. Then follow the steps below to delete data from your Android or iOS device.
Android
- Select and remove all accounts under Settings> User and Accounts. Including your Samsung account for Samsung users.
- Go to System > Advanced > Reset options. Go to Reset options if you do not see the “Advanced” option.
- Tap “Erase all data” (factory reset) > Reset phone. If needed, enter your PIN, pattern, or password.
- Tap “Erase everything” to erase all data from your phone's internal storage.
- Restart your phone when done.
apple (iOS)
- Make sure to unpair devices with other Apple devices such as you Apple Watch. Turn off the “Find My iPhone” setting
- It is important to first sign out of iCloud and the iTunes & App Store. If you manually delete any iCloud information while you're signed in to iCloud with your Apple ID, you will delete all your content from the iCloud servers and any of your devices signed in to iCloud.
- If you're using iOS 10.3 or later, tap Settings > Your Name. Scroll down and choose “Sign Out”. Enter your Apple ID password and tap “Turn Off”.
- If you're using iOS 10.2 or earlier, tap Settings > iCloud > Sign Out. Tap “Sign Out” again, then tap “Delete” from My [device] and enter your Apple ID password. Then go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID > Sign Out. - Go back to Settings and go to General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
- If asked for your device passcode or Restrictions passcode, enter it. Then tap Erase [device].
